Note
What this page covers. This page documents how we made the VIRRS logo. It carries no monitoring data, runs no analysis, and produces no downloadable data products. The page walks through the source images from the initial concept to the finished mark, and it ends with a short timelapse of the final redraw.
We created the logo with help from Midjourney. Figure 1 shows the concept we chose.
Midjourney also returned many weaker options, one of which appears in Figure 2.
We set the logo border text in PowerPoint (Figure 3).
We then redrew the central graphic from scratch and stylized the text to produce a custom, high-resolution logo.
The 30-second timelapse below shows that final redraw.
